| Rainbows - Building for the Future | Rainbows Childrens Hospice has recently launched the 'Building for the Future' Appeal to extend, improve and modernise the hospice. This is the most exciting development that has happened since the hospice opened its doors in 1994. Since then 1000s of people have been cared for by Rainbows - life-limited children, young adults and their families. They turn to Rainbows when there is nowhere else to go and they find a place for living, full of laughter and comfort, a place with a home-from-home atmosphere and staff who care. | Magistrates in the Community Project | The Magistrates in the Community (MIC) Project is an initiative run by the Magistrates Association, a registered charity that promotes and represents the work of Magistrates within England & Wales. The aim of the MIC project is to raise awareness of the role of Magistrates, who are ordinary members of the community. Magistrates within your area are available to come to your group to give a short talk about their work, or run a more participative session such as a mock trial. The sessions are both informative and interesting. Talks are free of charge, although a donation is always gratefully received to support the work of the Association locally. |
